Licensing and compliance representative, California
Ynez Carrasco serves as the organization's Licensing and Compliance Representative, responsible for ensuring the company is in full compliance with all state and local regulations in California. Carrasco led the company’s successful applications for city and state adult and medical use temporary cannabis sales permits. She joined The Apothecarium in November 2016.
Earlier in her career, Carrasco worked in corporate event planning with a focus on planning and executing large events. Prior to event planning she worked in technology sales, helping one company start and run their European headquarters, where she managed a team of five international sales reps and a pipeline $5 mil per quarter. In her pre-corporate years, she played professional volleyball in Germany after college. While earning her BA in Communications from Santa Clara University she played volleyball and soccer, winning a Women's Division 1 National Championship with her soccer team and was West Coast Conference Player and Defender of the Year for volleyball. In 2012 she graduated with Sigma Beta Delta honors from Dominican University of California's MBA program, with a focus on sustainability.
