NJ Community Outreach: Senior Education Seminar

Cannabis 101 Education Seminar

Cannabis education is important for people of all ages. Terrascend’s Community Outreach team recently provided a Cannabis 101 Education Seminar, coordinated by the Maplewood NJ Health Department, for a local assisted living community. Cannabis education is important for seniors because it can help them access the medical and social benefits of the plant while also promoting a more accepting and open-minded society. By addressing the negative stigma that has been associated with cannabis for decades, we can create a more inclusive and compassionate society that values the health and wellbeing of all its members.

Cannabis companies have a unique opportunity to provide cannabis education to their communities. With the legalization of cannabis in many parts of the world, there is a need for accurate and reliable information about this plant, it’s benefits, and its potential risks. Cannabis companies can play a critical role in educating their community about cannabis and responsible use of it. Here are three reasons why the Apothecarium prioritizes community education.cannabis education for seniors

Access: Many people who are interested in using cannabis for medical or recreational purposes may not know where to start. By providing education about the different strains, products, and consumption methods available, we can help people make informed decisions about cannabis use.

Safety: Cannabis can be a powerful plant that has both therapeutic benefits as well as potential risks. By providing education about the safe and responsible use of cannabis, we can help minimize the potential risks. This includes educating people about proper dosing, potential side effects, ways to minimize the risk of dependence, and laws and regulations surrounding it.

Stigma: Despite growing legalization, there is still a significant amount of stigma surrounding cannabis use. Cannabis education is an important tool for changing the stigma by correcting misinformation, highlighting the science and benefits it provides and promoting responsible use. By providing accurate and reliable information, we can help break down the negative stereotypes that have been associated with this plant for decades and promote a more informed and accepting society.
