Let’s get into why we are starting our lineup with Jack Herer, OG Kush, Granddaddy Purple, and Headband. First, these strains have been preserved by State Flower for their legendary properties. These are old-school strains that people ask for by name, that are not readily available from other cultivators. Keeping these legends alive our passion.

Jack Herer is a Sativa-dominant cannabis strain that has gained renown. Combining a Haze hybrid with a Northern Lights #5 and Shiva Skunk cross, Jack Herer consumers typically describe this 55% Sativa hybrid as blissful, clear-headed, and creative. Jack Herer is known for its cerebral elevation and heavy resin production.
This Sativa-dominant hybrid has a complex blend of earthy, pine, and spicy notes that make it stand out among other strains.

OG Kush is a Sativa-dominant hybrid strain (55% Sativa/45% Indica) that’s the perfect hybrid for any Indica or Sativa lover.
This bud has a classic sour citrusy flavor with hints of woody pine. The aroma is very similar, with a spicy kushy overtone and pungent dank hints. OG Kush buds have fat grape-shaped forest green nugs with long, thin orange hairs, golden undertones, and a coating of tiny, golden-white crystal trichomes. The high is almost immediate, and uplifting, all while keeping you physically grounded and relaxed. Users may also be hit with a heavy case of the munchies when smoking OG Kush.

Legend has it…Grandaddy Purple is a pure Indica, whose characteristics strongly resemble domesticated cannabis Indica strains produced in the mountains of Afghanistan. However, some breeders claim that it is simply a phenotype of Skunk, while others claim it is a cross between Purple Urkle x Big Bud or a three-way cross of Mendo Purps x Skunk x Afghani.

Headband, also known as simply “HB,” is a hybrid classic strain that is a cross of two venerable parents, OG Kush, and Sour Diesel, making for an Indica-dominant hybrid (60% Indica / 40% Sativa). Headband is the most potent of the original “gas” strains.
Headband is named after its famed cerebral effects, as it creates a sensation of pressure across the forehead similar to a headband. Headband has a smooth, creamy taste with undertones of lemon and diesel. Though the strain delivers a strong mix of euphoria and creativity, the strongest effects are centered on the body, making it a good choice for intermediate and experienced consumers.
