HIV/AIDS patients often deal with a plethora of symptoms that are both caused by the disease itself and the medicines prescribed to combat it. Medical marijuana and fibromyalgia.

Fibromyalgia is a chronic pain disorder which holds a number of complexities, often making it difficult to treat. About 2% of the United States population lives with from fibromyalgia, with a ratio of about 8 to 2; women to men. A large portion of fibromyalgia patients are middle-aged women, however it affects all ages even children.

Epilepsy and medical marijuana.

November is National Epilepsy Awareness month. This year the Epilepsy Foundation is focusing on raising awareness of SUDEP, or sudden unexpected death in epilepsy. It’s estimated that 1 in 150 people who suffer from uncontrolled seizures pass away from SUDEP. There are steps that can be taken to help reduce the risk of harm, and the Epilepsy Foundation provides recommendations on just how to do so.

Breast cancer and medical cannabis.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. We want to do our part and help raise awareness about Breast Cancer, and provide insight to the connection to medical marijuana in helping manage the symptoms of Breast Cancer, and highlight promising studies for the antiproliferative effects of CBD - including the slowing of metastasis and even apoptosis in certain cases.
