(October 19, 2018) Flow Kana is voluntarily recalling a single batch of cannabis flower from one retail dispensary in San Francisco. The product being recalled is the strain Harle Tsu, from Batch Number MMF-HTSU090518 or MMF-HT062518 if purchased between October 5-12, 2018, and consists of 133 units (69 one-gram jars and 64 eighth jars) that were sold at The Apothecarium Castro. No other retailers or locations have been affected.
Laboratory testing for Batch Number MMF-HTSU090518, cultivator Serendipity Associates, Inc., detected the presence of Aspergillus fumigatus, a common mold, which caused the batch to fail the Bureau of Cannabis Control's microbiological testing standards. The Apothecarium received a passing laboratory Certificate of Analysis stating the product was approved for sale. The dispensary was not made aware of the issue until after some of the failed batch had been sold.
If you suspect that you purchased product affected by the recall, we advise you not to consume the product. You may return the recalled product to The Apothecarium for a full refund, a replacement product and discount on a future Flow Kana purchase. Flow Kana and The Apothecarium are making additional efforts to directly reach the small number of customers who have purchased the product.
Flow Kana is diligently working internally with the Bureau of Cannabis Control and other partners to ensure that our cannabis products are properly regulated and safe for all customers.
