Autism Acceptance Month & The Apothecarium

April is Autism Acceptance Month, an entire month that promotes acceptance for a condition that occurs in one in every 36 children in the United States. Autism is a complex developmental disability that affects how autistic people experience the world due to differences in their brains. Autism affects behavior, communication, interaction, and learning Symptoms of Autism exist on a spectrum, and vary from person to person. Autism Acceptance Month was created by autistic people and for autistic people, emphasizing the need for public awareness to promote acceptance, celebrate differences, and be more inclusive towards autistic individuals in our communities.

Autism is a qualifying condition for Medical Cannabis in 15 states, and 6 additional states allow access at a physician’s discretion.
